Rejuran for Skin Rejuvenation

What is Rejuran?

Rejuran is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses polynucleotides (PNs), which are DNA fragments derived from wild salmon. These PNs play a significant role in skin regeneration and repair. When injected into the skin, they stimulate collagen production, improve elasticity, and support overall skin health.

Rejuran activates the skin’s natural regenerative abilities, addressing skin concerns such as wrinkles, scars, large pores, redness, and pigmentation. It promotes collagen secretion and restores the extracellular matrix, helping recover thin and damaged skin due to aging, while improving skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

How does Rejuran work?

Rejuran works by injecting polynucleotides directly into the skin, where they encourage cellular activity, stimulate growth factors, and promote collagen production. This process rejuvenates the skin by enhancing elasticity, improving texture, and supporting the repair of damaged or aging skin from within.

What areas can Rejuran be used for?

Rejuran can be used on various areas of the face, including:

  • Overall skin rejuvenation (face, neck, and décolletage)

  • Delicate areas such as around the eyes (for wrinkles, crow’s feet, and dark circles)

  • Scars and acne marks

Rejuran helps to smooth fine lines, improve skin texture, and enhance the overall appearance of the skin, making it suitable for various skin concerns.

FAQs

Rejuran is administered via a series of injections into the skin. The treatment can be customized based on individual needs and skin concerns. The most common forms of Rejuran are:

  • Rejuran Healer: Used for overall skin rejuvenation, including fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.
  • Rejuran i: Targets delicate areas like under the eyes to address wrinkles, crepiness, and dark circles.
  • Rejuran S: Focuses on improving the appearance of scars, acne marks, and other skin irregularities.

Rejuran treatments typically take around 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Initial results, including enhanced hydration and a subtle glow, can be noticed immediately after the treatment. More significant improvements in skin texture and elasticity become visible in the weeks following treatment. Full results are typically seen after a series of treatments.

For optimal results, a series of 2-4 Rejuran treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart is often recommended. Maintenance treatments may be required every 6-12 months to sustain results.

There is minimal downtime after a Rejuran treatment. Some individuals may experience minor swelling, redness, bruising, or lumpiness at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a day or two.

Rejuran has a long history of use in skin regeneration, originally from South Korea. It is considered safe with some side effects, however with every treatment there are risks associated which will be discussed at your consultation.

While side effects are rare, some patients may experience:

  • Temporary redness or swelling at the injection sites
  • Mild bruising
  • Minor lumpiness or bumps, which typically subside within a few hours to days

Rejuran is suitable for individuals who are looking to rejuvenate their skin, reduce fine lines, improve elasticity, and address mild skin concerns such as scars and pigmentation. It is particularly beneficial for those with aging or thinning skin, as it enhances skin’s regenerative capacity.

After your Rejuran® treatment, it is essential to follow these instructions for optimal healing and results:
